What a way to kickstart 2026 for Mitchell Marsh!

Mitchell Marsh got the new year off to a flying start, blasting a fantastic 102 from just 58 deliveries against the Hobart Hurricanes in BBL match 19 between the Hurricanes and Perth Scorchers.

He opened the innings with Finn Allen and just looked the real deal from the get go. Allen chipped in with a quick 16 off 10 but Marsh was in a league of his own, completely taking apart the Hurricanes bowling attack & bringing up his 2nd BBL ton in some style too. Cooper Connolly did his bit before being gone with 4 off 8

The fireworks really started going off just a bit later in the innings when Aaron Hardie came out and just absolutely smashed 94 off a tiny 43 deliveries, & was striking at a simply 218.6 strike rate . His aggressive batting kept the momentum going right up till the end.

With Marsh’s century & Hardies explosive innings the Perth Scorchers ended up posting a massive 229/3 , tossing the Hurricanes into a bit of a tailspin.
